ECU has about 4,500 students. Four of them were named finalists for the George Nigh Award for Outstanding Seniors. Each fall, about thirty incoming first-year students are accepted into ECU's Honors Program. In 2015, three of the four finalists for the George Nigh Award started in ECU's Honors Program.
