Linzi is one of six selected to present in the Poster Awards session for students with sixty or more credit hours. Woo hoo!
The Great Plains Honors Conference was not something I originally planned to participate in. Honestly, when Dr. Benton first mentioned it last semester, I pushed it to the back of my mind as something that was way out of my capabilities and personal comfort zone. However, months later when he sent out a final-chance, take it or leave it email, I found myself responding with intrigue. Because of encouragement from him and Dr. McMahon, I decided to step out of my academic comfort zone and am so glad that I did! While it was slightly intimidating to present at my first ever academic conference, I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had along the way. I became so much closer with several of my honorable peers, got to feed sea turtles, walked on sandy beaches, and ate the best darn barbeque this side of the Mississippi. I am so glad to have seized this wonderful opportunity.
